On Camille’s Writing

July 21, 2010

Personally, what’s great about reading her writing is that I forget who the author is. I establish connection to what she says not because she’s my other half but because her thoughts make perfect sense. Her voice resonates the callowness of a child and the conviction of an old soul at the same time. She just has this controlled way of relaying simple things that do matter if not just to people who value and know the value of maturity, the same things usually overlooked by the pompous and the pretentious. There’s this certain madness in her words, a mild one, that draws you in, pulls you out, and makes you pay attention, or, well, subtly makes you pay. And I’m afraid I’m starting to sound like John characterizing Yoko, sorry.
